Dr. Weege doesn't listen, and gets annoyed. Doesn't greet your pet even if he's met him/her before and handles them like things. Angry.

Dr. Martin is really nice, and good.. but you have to wonder why he doesn't see the above.

Absolutely horrible hospital. Poor standard of care. Dr whyte refused to provide her license information. Yelled at me, hung up on me and refused to discuss the care of my dog after taking $$$$. Told me I abused my dog! Dog was being seen for a skin infection which the groomer said was common and normal. Went to another vet and said her claims were slanderous. Got it in writing and filing complaint with board. She shouldn't be working in this field or with people in need.

It is without adequate words that I write this, but I am humbled by our gracious God for giving us more time with Marley, and I am completely inadequate in finding the words that truly convey the gratitude that my heart is feeling right now to God, and to Dr Rob Martin at Colonial Animal Hospital, and his truly amazing staff Laurie, Anna, Sydney, Sarah, India, Sue, Cathy, Stacey and all of the dedicated and professional team members at this veterinary clinic. Without them my Marley would not be laying in my arms right now. Racing in with a dying puppy in my arms, cardio and pulmonary arrest, seizures and barely breathing I barged into the back room screaming and the team at Colonial took over like super heroes!
I do not forget today, or ever, that this is not the first time that Colonial Animal Hospital and the phenomenal staff there have stepped up, above and beyond, and literally saved the life of my ‘babies’. I have been a client for more than Fifteen years at this practice, and I never will forget everything that they have done for my family of four legged friends. Never.
Marley was indeed dying after being poisoned by a bufo toad last week. With answered Prayers, Dr Martin and his team of dedicated staff and everyone’s expertise, plus pure determination by them all to not give up on my boy, I am today blessed with more time with my Marley.
Grace showed up in many forms, and I am truly and honestly, beyond grateful, endlessly blessed and forever indebted to every single staff member for all for all that they did. Thank you seems so inadequate.
Dr Rob Martin if you read this, your staff are second to None! Truly AMAZING professionals, with complete dedication to our pets, and hearts of pure compassion and love. It has always been this way at your practice. You as their leader set the standard, you lead your team with a balance of guidance, instruction and direction mixed with gentle kindness, dedication and love. Dr. Rob Martin and his staff at Colonial Animal Hospital are kind, caring and considerate. Rather than trying to prolong the inevitable - while racking up a veterinarian bill - they finally talked some sense into me that it was "okay to let your cat go - you've done all you can do."

My family recently said goodbye to Myrtle. After 14 good years, she joins her sisters Lily and Maxi across the Rainbow Bridge. Colonial Animal Hospital offered many options regarding Myrtle and after choosing one, they left me alone in the treatment room to say goodbye.

A vet tech returned explaining that she was going to take Myrtle to another room and prep her. Moments later, Myrtle returned with a catheter inserted into the vein of her leg. Dr. Martin explained that before euthanasia is performed, a port is inserted to make it easy and stress-free to administer the injection. I'm not a doctor, but think I've explained this correctly. Basically, the older animals are harder to treat and installing the port helps with the process.

I remember finding Myrtle living out of a trash Dumpster at the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce in 2003. I caught her, fed her, and brought her home. My wife complained as we already had two cats. We now had 3 cats - but no children. Back when the economy was good, she went to the vet on a regular basis - not so much so when the economy was bad and we couldn't afford it.

My original thought was to have her fixed and remain an outdoor cat. That never worked out.
Many years later, Lily and Maxi moved on and two new kittens joined the Lewis household. After they crossed the Rainbow Bridge, my 7-year-old twins Rebecca and William adopted Ash and Frost a few months ago. My kids love cats.

My daughter Rebecca loved Myrtle the most, but it became a quality of life issue. A quality of life issue that Dr. Martin continued to suggest "the end is here." I finally took his advice.

Sometimes you just have to ask yourself - "where would Myrtle be today if I hadn't rescued her from a trash Dumpster?" According to Dr. Martin, she never would have made it out of the Dumpster.

I've never had a negative experience with Dr. Martin or his staff at Colonial Animal Hospital. Polite and friendly - they explain every procedure. From making the appointment, explaining any procedure or test, to the fees being assessed, I was fully informed every step of the way. As a small local practice, I was impressed and never had an unanswered question.

I've used Colonial Animal Hospital for years and I have always found them to be caring, knowledgeable, and reasonable in their costs. I can't imagine taking our animals anywhere else.

The location in 127 E Woolbright Rd is awful. If you have insurance, forget about it. They will not going to submit a claim for you. They said they would, but they never did. Then, when you need the medical records to submit the claim yourself, it is a nightmare to get them. When you get there for the first the play nice, but then, once they got your money and you call because you need something, they are too busy for you. The first time I saw a female doctor. She sounded like she is going to give me lot things for free that my pet did not need at the moment, and I did not asked for. Then, they gave me bill at the front desk. I paid for it. I got back to give them a second chance. This time it was worse. The doctor (a male) is anything but humble. He spent all the time talking about how awful another client was because she did not think he was great. I almost play the song for him "Baby I am worthy." There is not difference between him an aggressive used car salesman. Save yourself a headache, do not go there. After that I went to see another vet. Such a difference like day and night!!!

Last year I "barged" into colonial hospital with my tiny yorkie who had just had a terrible seizure. She seemed close to death. Stopped at colonial because they were closest. Everyone, including dr. Weegee dropped everything else to take care of us. He gave us his cell that first visit and told us to call at any hour. He was also wonderful with the follow up care and when my cocker needed surgery for a tumor months later. I would not hesitate to recommend.
