I came to Dr. Zavaro a few years ago after having had some bad dental treatment done at another office. Dr. Zavaro did a bone graft and an implant for me. He also helped me find an excellent orthodontist (I was previously being seen by someone but was very unhappy with the treatment). The implant that he did for me was one of my upper front teeth. He informed me that this is one of the most difficult places to have an implant done- there is limited bone to hold the implant and the final restoration has to be aesthetically pleasing. I am usually very nervous with dental treatment, but Dr. Zavaro and his assistant were extremely patient with me. Dr. Zavaro never did any procedure without fully explaining everything and answering all my questions. When it was time to have the final tooth cemented, Dr. Zavaro was extra careful to help me choose the correct shade for the tooth. With a front tooth, this can be VERY difficult. Before cementing, he made sure I was 100% comfortable with it. He was very willing to do anything differently if I asked. Since having the implant completed, I cannot count how many compliments I have gotten on my smile. I would STRONGLY recommend choosing to see Dr. Zavaro if you are looking for a dentist. I would not trust any other dentist with my care.

I had a crown installed by Dr. Zavaro. I have to admit when I broke my tooth I was very nervous when I went to Dr. Zavaro's office. Although I had many regular visits before to Dr. Zavaro's office, but this time I was dreading to have a serious work and to have to spend a lot of time at the Dentist. Dr. Zavaro took me in quickly and made me feel very comfortable. He sat down and explained to me all my options in great details and he was extremely receptive to my questions. He was very professional in his explanations but always made me feel that I was in charge of any decision. When the decision was made, he completed all his work in one session and told me he would call me when the crown is ready. Last Friday I had to visit his office to get the crown installed. I deliberately took the last appointment at 5:30 PM because I had to drive from Upstate New York where I work to his office in Boston. Although I left on good time to make it to the appointment but I was running late because of Friday traffic. I called his office to let them know that I could be 30 minutes late to the appointment and I proposed to the receptionist to reschedule the appointment. She immediately replied that Dr. Zavaro does not mind to wait for me, and she told me to drive carefully and not to rush. Finally I made it to his office about 45 minutes late. Needless to say, I was very apologetic, but he was very receptive and understanding. He told me there was no need for apology. He took his time and carefully installed the crown. He kept talking to me and asking me how I feel about the crown and if I had any slight discomfort; until he was sure that I was OK.

Dr. Zavaro is genuine, highly professional, and very caring to his patients. He did waste 45 minutes of his time waiting for me last Friday evening to show up at his office. I felt that I can spend few minutes on the computer to let everybody know how wonderful Dr. Zavaro is.

19 years ago I started to be treated by Dr. Zavaro. At that time I had not seen a dentist for many years and my dental health was in a deplorable state. Had it not been for his excellent guidance and treatment, I would be wearing dentures as I am now approaching 80. Some 8 years ago, because of insurance problems, I had to consult with another dentist, and then I realized the difference. I may lose my insurance, but I don't want to lose Dr. Zavaro. I have recommended Downtown Dental to several new comers, and I will recommend Dr. Zavaro to whoever seeks good treatment.
