Bloomington Podiatry Centre

Saw Dr. Devane on Feb 9 -- this was my first visit to a podiatrist but I had previously seen 2 other doctors for my condition. I explained to Dr. Devane I was already diagnosed with Morton's neuroma and that shoe inserts & steroids did not help. I have constant pain in both feet and my mobility is severely limited Dr. Devane prescribed steriods and shoe inserts and said "you will be walking normally in 2 weeks". He never mentioned any other treatments at all and smiled and took my money. I have no insurance so I was charged $110 for office call, $55 for Xrays. In addition I wasted $10 on meds and $40 for shoe "inserts" which made my feet hurt WORSE I wrote a letter to Bloomington Pod. Center on Feb 23 asking for a refund of $155 I wasted on the office call and xrays. No reply of course! I phoned them today only to be told by a patronizing office manager "there is never a gurarantee any treatment really works" and "we do not give refunds". Also I asked why Drs always charge patients MORE when they have no insurance, and she claimed they do not. The office manager claims I don't know anything about insurance billing etc. She was rude and condescending. The doctor wasted my time and money
