Dr. Gary Chodoroff is that rare physician these days, one whose "bedside manner" is clearly "old-world", but with whom all other attributes are "state-of-the-art." I believe this man actually LIKES his patients, as if they are personal friends. I am no longer surprised when I receive an unsolicited call from him, in which he is merely calling to "check in" on me–once even on a Sunday afternoon!

Regarding national averages for the amount of time physicians spend with their patients, Dr. Chodoroff must be a "curve-breaker": I’m sometimes concerned about the next patient's wait time because of the amount of time the doctor spends with me. But then, I realize that my own wait time was of five-minutes in duration, so appointments are clearly well-scheduled.

While such attributes are great to find, obviously a physician’s technical skills and knowledge are of equal importance. In this regard, I am happy to report that Dr. Chodoroff is just as strong here as he is with the aforementioned “soft skills.” During the course of my 5-1/2 year relationship with him, which involved two significant, but separate, conditions, I have found his tenacity in finding the correct diagnosis, astuteness in developing an appropriate treatment plan, and his subsequent follow-through/follow-up on all related matters, are beyond compare. Never, though, have patient concerns/fears been compromised.

I only wish that Dr. Chodoroff would expand his range of practice to include internal medicine (about which I have actually asked him!), or that I could find an internist with duplicate qualities.

In summary, Dr. Chodoroff is, above all else, a kind and wonderful human being who, by what I can only explain as an act of Providence, has chosen a career path in which these outstanding character traits are put to use to their fullest: helping those like myself who suffer from insurmountable, chronic pain.
