Overrated in my opinion. The restaurant decor would be better appreciated if they hadn't crammed so many tables into the restaurant. It's obvious that they're after the cash and care little about ensuring a pleasant dining experience for their customers. I'm kind of embarrassed for them actually, they play high end in a low class sort of way. Even with reservations we ended up waiting about 35 minutes for our table. No apologies given. Service was slow. Food was alright, but isn't everything smothered in garlic and butter good? I expected more for the prices paid. I just don't equate plastic bibs, eating with your hands, and finger licking with fine dining. And I'm not fond of the Asian inspired outfits the hosts/servers wear. Can we say cheesy?

We Have A New Favorite Restaurant

After hearing about this restaurant from several people in different conversations I decided to take my wife there for her birthday. This place had incredible ambiance and the decor was amazing from the live band playing smooth jazz to the beautiful coy fish pond you could see through the glass flooring in throughout the restaurant.

From the time we entered we were promptly greeted and escorted shortly after to our table. We ordered the house specialty of "cracked crab and garlic noodles" that came highly recommended from others we have dined here. I can honestly say they were not exaggerating. Both items were exceptionally delicious. I had never tasted noodles or crab prepared this way. They unique blends of herbs and spices they used were incredible. They were so good that I had to order a second serving of each to go. I mentioned this because this place is somewhat pricy but after tasting the food it was worth every penny.

My wife and I were both thoroughly impressed with the incredible service and the delicious food. We both have a new favorite restaurant.

What an experience! You had to be there.

We arrived a tad fashionably late and our hostess Michelle immediately escorted us (a party of nine) to our table and provided us menus upon seating. The occasion we were celebrating was my sister's birthday. The atmosphere and ambiance right away encaptured the entire party. Our appetizer starter was the signature appetizer platter i.e., chicken dumplings, coconut shrimp, crab puffs, steak satay with peanut, mustard and soy sauces, and crab cake salad which was unbelieveable. Our waiter, Drew was awesome and had a great sense of humor dealing with the crowd that I was with. The main entrees ranged from tiger prawns and garlic noodles, rack of lamb and vegetables w/ side of garlic noodles, filet of sole, chicken satay, jasmine rice, ginger brown rice, coconut shrimp, short ribs and dungeness crab out the shell. If there was a 10 star rating Crustacean would be worth it. What a dining experience, when the bill came that was an experience as well but that's another story; you had to be there. Looking forward to my next dining experience at Crustacean...

The Worst Service Ever!!!

They don't even deserve a star based on the service we received. Can't rate them either on their food due to it arrived at our table after an hour after we were seated and cold. Never once did they offer anything to make up for the time we waited except excuse after excuse. We heard it was late because we ordered Filet Mignon and that takes long to cook. If you would have seen the size you thought it was a joke. We complained the food was cold and they had someone come and feel our plates. How dare they!!!! I also owned a restaurant in Beverly Hills and never would have stayed in business the years I did if this type of service took place. I guess when you get to be that big in the industry, little things like satisfying your customer sieze to exist!!!
