Despite being great tenants who pay rent on time and don’t cause any issues, our complaints regarding our neighbors fall on deaf ears. They scream day and night, pound the walls and slam doors then open them, repeat. They smoke marijuana constantly, which comes through our windows and through the vent in the bathroom. We have a baby and she’s getting exposed to marijuana daily. Despite this, management refuses to do anything. They have been told again and again and again via e-mail, phone and in person. Still, Management does nothing.

We have had to call security again and again due to the behavior of our neighbors and know for a fact that they have filed reports to management regarding their behavior. Still, Management does nothing.

It’s amazing that Management is perfectly okay with a baby being exposed to marijuana. It’s so strong that one can smell it from the parking lot. But, even though one can stand right outside the neighbors’ door and OBVIOUSLY detect that it comes from their apartment, Management has stated that they can’t do anything about it unless they see smoke. By the way, the stoners have two little kids who are also being assailed by the extremely unhealthy exposure to marijuana. But again, Management does not seem to care if children are exposed to drugs.

When we asked that we be able to move to another building within the complex (which is absurd to have to contemplate, as Management should be removing the problem tenants), we were advised that not only would we have to apply again, we would also have to pay approximately $550 on top of the new rent amount to be able to move. We’re trying to live in a healthy environment with our baby and they can’t accommodate us with a perfectly reasonable request?

It’s come to the point that we’ve begun seeking legal representation.

Do yourself a favor, find somewhere else to live. This is not a healthy environment, especially for families; not so long as Management takes such a laissez-faire approach to babies being exposed to drugs.
