Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores

I enjoy going to Joanns. The staff is very friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. If they don't have it. They always suggest where to go. But I find most everything I need there. Good prices and there coupons are great. Not miss and opportunity to go this store it is great.

My two star rating is geared solely to the employees cutting fabric! I have to agree with slrowe in that the workers in the fabric cutting section are extremely rude! As to mamajuju, how could you possibly respond to slrowe's comment like that? Were you there? I doubt it! In any event, the crafts are somewhat overpriced but the coupons do help.

Here's a tip: Save your money and skip the kid's cake decorating classes. IT IS A SCAM!! They get you to buy all the supplies AND you get to make a cake, only to find out it was cancelled and they forgot to call. This has happened to us TWICE!!! You get a refund for the cost of the class, but the supplies are easily double that.

No, I don't think that the previous reviewer was correct. Yes, absolutely you can get great deals on fabric and their crafts are competively priced, but if she says that someone laughed at what she was making, that's nonsense. For pete sake! Really? Go back to Hobby Lobby.

The selection of fabric here is great and if you use coupons, you can easily get the fabric down to a pretty good price. The rest of the store (craft, etc.) is just a tad overpriced. If my review was on the fabric alone, it would probably receive 4 stars. However, the staff there is so terrible that I refuse to shop at Joanns anymore. I love to sew and quilt, and when the store opened I was very excited to have somewhere new to go. It's been open for over a year now and any time I visit to buy fabric, the women behind the cutting counter openly laugh at my projects and are rude to other costomers. There are perhaps 4 or 5 of the staff that are polite and helpful, but the rest act like it is a bother of their time to be there to help cut fabric, etc. If you don't mind the rude employees/managers then I would go here, but otherwise stay away.
