All of the animals that come through the shelter are very well cared for, and the staff are excellent when helping to choose the perfect new pet. I will be adopting from here in the future for sure!

Overall

Overall they do a very good job caring for the animals. The staff is mainly volunteers so yes, they lack training sometimes, but I've found them to be very helpful and to have the animals' best interests in mind. The adoption prices are quite low and I would recommend looking there for anyone seeking to adopt a new pet. The only reason that I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they will only adopt out cats to 100% indoor homes.

Overall

I am very disappointed with the treatment we received at this facility. My thirteen year old daughter raised $75 for the shelter and bought dog and cat food, toys and littler. She was very excited to deliver the items. However, when we arrived, it took several minutes before we were acknowledged by the staff, who were talking in the hallway. My daughter told the lady why we were there and brought in the bags of donations. Not one person said thank you or even bothered to look through the items that she was so proud to donate. It was very rude. Then, we wanted to visit with a kitten in interaction room. My daughter stood at the counter for several minutes waiting to ask for permission and was ignored. They even took another lady in front of her and started to do paperwork! I was mad and just wanted to leave, but on our way out they finally asked if we needed anything. We were then told we could not visit a cat unless we filled out a pre-adoption form. Now, maybe it's just me, but I don't think it would have hurt anything for them to allow my daughter to hold a cat for ten minutes, considering she had just given them $75 worth of supplies!!! I really wanted to take everything back home with us and donate it to a more appreciative shelter. The ONLY reason I give this shelter one star is because the actual facility was spacious and clean and the animals didn't seem too stressed.
