Anthony Johns Day Spa Salon & Boutique

Dissatisfied with my experience. It was too much money for the service given and the staff was unfriendly. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for somewhere new to go.

This is the second Manicure I have had at Anthony John. The massage is nice. But the products they use makes your hands/arms feel cold. So a caption, don't get in winter weather. Also the polish doesn't last. The manicurist does a sloppy job with cuticles and doesn't fix chips/cracks in nail, even though she said she would. I don't recommend this place and will not be returning.

Had a manicure done there and the next day the paint was chipping off. The staff was very unfriendly. Will never go back or recommend them to anyone.

I had a bad experience when my eye brows turned out noticeably wrong. I had a very crooked one and one almost completely ripped off. I can't believe the girl was so unconcerned. She said it will grow back easily in two months.

Each Christmas and birthday, I get a nicely priced gift card from my boyfriend. I also take family members in to Anthony Johns for a treat...but no more. After my last visit for a Pedicure - the chair was broken, the water jets were noisy and annoying to me, as well as other clients - my boyfriend will not buy another gift card for me there. When I stopped to pay with my gift card, and mentioned the less than enjoyable time I spent (told 1.5 hours, but it was a little over an hour for $50.00), it fell on deaf ears. What I heard in return for my discontent, was "You wanna put 15% tip on the bill for the girl who took care of you?". I did, it wasn't her fault. I didn't want anything free or a discount on my gift card (that was more than $50.00), but a sincere apology for sticking me in a chair that was broken - admittedly by the girl doing the Pedicure as it was needing a part. So, so long Anthony John's for me now...and I believe in Word of Mouth.

Don't go!!!! The techniques are outdated and I am not sure if they keep up on their trainings. I was there for 4 hours and not once offered anything to drink. If you consider that spa-like you have not been to a very nice salon and spa. It is way over priced for the service that was provided. The girl who did my hair was rude and didn't talk to me for the last 2 hours of the appointment, which made it a strange experience. I was so unhappy with my experience I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go. Also, my hair looks terrible and I am having to go to another place to have it re-done.

Heather and Tess are perhaps the most talented stylists in Maine; Heather was the first person to flawlessly smooth my tangled curls into chic shiny locks, and still manages to make my natural curl coil like no one else. Tess produces magnificent chignons for weddings and proms. She too produces precision cuts that transform a shabby woman into a femme fatale!

The atomosphere here is very high class for Bangor, Maine! The massage tables are comfortable and heated! The rooms are very relaxing and have that spa feel. Kylie gave a great massage, focusing on problem areas and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Plan on going back throughout my pregnancy! Everyone that worked there was really friendly and they have great specials!

I payed 70$ for a hot stone massage and the woman burn the skin on my left eye, leaving a small scar. The stone was too hot and she let it slip down onto my eyebrow and my eyelid. the skin on your eyelid is much thinner, and now I have a scar from the middle of my eye lid to my nose and up to my eye brow. do not visit this salon.
