Rachael's Dowry Bed and Breakfast

My wife and i live in the area and do monthly 'staycations', these give us opportunities to see what Baltimore and the Charm City have to offer. We actually wanted to find a decent place nearby where we could have our in laws stay- just saying. We did the standard search for top rated B&Bs in the area on popular review sites and found Racheal's Dowry Inn. Without even calling, we booked online and received a call within an hour, very nice. My wife told them we lived nearby so they gave us walking directions and we arrived Friday morning. The place was packed, which made us feel pretty good. After checking in we were shown our room by the manager, a young gentleman, and set up camp. The place was like a step back in time. She and I are not familiar with period pieces including rockers, mirrors, paintings and so on so this was very new to us- and very cool. Our room was clean, comfortable and just what the doctor ordered. Overall we must give this a 5 of 5 for overall bang for buck!

Me and my husband were lucky enough to travel to Baltimore a few days ago. We always chose a Bed and Breakfast because we find it more personal but we never thought in a million years that we would find such a gem in the middle of Baltimore. The Inn is literally location across the street from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Not only is the location fabulous but the Inn Keepers as well. Tish helped me plan my surprise visit for my husband every step of the way. She was warm and welcoming the moment we stepped into the beautiful Inn. She knew all the history of the Inn and was so helpful helping us decide where to go for something to eat. It was a hot and muggy day and she also had her son adjust the air conditioner in our room so we would be most comfortable. Me and my husband have been to many Inns and I can honestly say this was one of my favorites.

Quaint, comfortable, and charming bed and breakfast that's nestled in an historic neighborhood within walking distance of Camden Yards and the Ravens stadiums as well as the Inner Harbor. The innkeepers are friendly, hospitable, and helpful. The inn is impeccable. Even though I wasn't the first person to stay there - the cleanliness and upkeep made me feel as if I was the first. You will NOT be disappointed when you choose to stay here!

Amazingly cared for house in a highly convenient location. The owner restored the house himself and is happy to share the history of the house, as well as mantels, furniture, neighborhood, etc. Does what I want from a B&B, which is make me feel like I'm staying in a piece of history...you know you're in Baltimore (which is good!!) By the way, you'll also get a great hot breakfast. Will definately visit again.
