Mt Carmel Cemetery

This cemetery is in very poor condition (head stones are missing and/or knocked down, thick brush covers many of the plots and existing headstones, trash lies about, the roads are undrivable unless you have a 4X4.....). The ground staff and administration staff is unable and/or unwilling to assist in the seach for the plots as they too can not find the plots. I was given a general map of the cemetery listing the areas and plot locations. However, without any headstones and the thick growth from weeds and trees its difficult to locate the actual sites. I should mention that within the trailer the staff has a series of books listing the names, plot numbers and etc... The on-line directory is helpful but becareful as many last names are misspelled. Its sad that this cemetery is in such poor shape. Researching grave sites at this cemetery is difficult at best because of the lack of care to the grounds and plots. I really wish someone would restore this cemetery.
