I love this place! I foster for a local rescue, and when I get a dirty or matted dog in it's off to Doggie Style for a grooming. They always come back looking and smelling wonderful! I am always amazed at how great they are at untangling knotted doggie fur. While I always give them the option of a shavedown, so far they have always been able to save the pretty fur coats. And the groomers are very patient with some very nervous and confused little dogs. Thanks Doggie Style!

IT SHOULD GET ZERO STARS!



Terrible, terrible, terrible. I have never written a bad review in my life, but feel so passionate about the terrible experience I have had here that I had to write a review and get the word out there. I have a 6 month old Old English Sheepdog and coincidently am also 6 months pregnant. Incident #1: We made an appointment to get her groomed on a Monday morning at 10:30 right after July 4th. I waited for 30 minutes in the heat, pregnant, with dog full of hair, and no one showed. My husband and I called all day to reschedule thinking it may have been our fault, left messages, even drove by later in the day, and the no one returned a phone call or showed up. I had to get dog food so that Wednesday I went back to Dogge Style and the groomer happened to be working the register. She explained that she got heat stroke on her way to work and thats why she never showed up. Didn't explain the no call back or ask to reschedule...I let it go, bought the food, and left. A few days later we called to reschedule. Incident #2: The second appointment was rescheduled for a Saturday morning around 10:00 AM. I received a phone call about an hour before our appointment that it had to be cancelled because the groomer's car broke down. Whichever girl was on the phone was nice, and rescheduled our appointment for the following Tuesday, and said it would be free of charge because the last two appointments were missed. Incident #3: I bring our Old English Sheepdog to get groomed at her scheduled appointment time. I meet with the groomer and explained that we DO NOT want her shaved, just a few inches and to clean up wherever she needs it. Our puppy had about 4-5 inches worth of hair prior to the grooming. My husband picks her up, and SHE WAS SHAVED!! The groomer left before my husband picked up our puppy so he could not confront her. No phone call was made to us regarding this decision and the person working the register said that our puppy was matted so she just shaved her. Her backside was matted but not enough to warrant a complete shave down. Not only that, but she had RAZOR BURN, and CUTS, and the shave itself was terribly UNEVEN! I cried my eyes out upon seeing her. She was and still is itching from the shave. Incident #4: We tried calling for a week and half to hear from the manager and groomer. We left messages with other workers and on the machine. We did not receive one phone call back. Finally, we went in there, and the owner was completely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. He told us that "I DO NOT DEAL WITH THE GROOMERS" even though he is the owner of the store. His was of dealing with the problem was pulling our card and writing "Do not groom" in permanent marker across it. He also said that he should have called animal control because of the matting, yet, when we first approached him he said he didn't know anything about the situation. He did not apologize even after I told him that all we were looking for was an answer and an apology. I have never met a business owner like that in my life.



When we tell people our story, they seem to think that we should have known better than to take our dog there to get groomed. They shake their heads and some have shared their horror stories as well. And though I know our puppy's hair will grow back, I will never get over how we were treated and the lack of professionalism and inconsideration from this store.
