Rosewood Retirement Community

It is a joy to wake each morning, walk out on the balcony, through French doors to view the beautiful new xeriscape garden at Rosewood. We are so fortunate to call Rosewood home.

Rosewood is a wonderful community, while looking for a place for my mother many people had told me that rosewood was a place i should look at. When I finally went to look I was very suprised from the moment I arrived and during my entire tour. The sales office was wonderful and could not be more knowledgeable about there community. The greatest thing was all of the people I encountered all seemed genuine about what they were doing. We are a couple of months from making our final decision but felt the need to let people know you cannot go wrong by taking a look at rosewood.

I am very satisfied with every aspect of Rosewood Senior Living! Rosewood has a great community feel, all of the other residents are very friendly.

Rosewood has been a Godsend for our family. We no longer worry about Mom being in a very large house all by herself!! There are constantly fun and educational things going on, and always some great trip planned. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make sure that their residents are happy and well cared for. I just wish that I could live there myself - right now!!!! Hopefully in the future.........

I chose Rosewood because of the location and the reputation. My father-in-law lived here 35 years ago and our family was very pleased with his care. Rosewood has a Continuing Care Retirement Community contract that made me feel this is a gift for my family to not be obligated financially for my continued care.

I have been a resident of Rosewood for three years and have never observed a lack of staff help for those needing assistance of any kind. However, there may be an occasion when we need to ask for help and not try it on our own. I have been using a walker for an extended period and am aware of the potential danger of trying to use the handrail and hang on to the walker at the same time, possibly causing an accident. If there is a question in our minds for our safety, ask the staff for help before starting on your own. Our staff is here to help and they do a fine job for us. The staff is friendly, kind and considerate and always have great concern for our safety.

I had lunch with a lady friend at Rosewood today and appalled at the design. the ramp going into the dining room for older people is ridiculous. My 91 yr old friend is recovering from a broken hip and had trouble making sure her walker didn't run down the ramp. I helped her catch it. Yes, she could hold on to the wall ledge, but then she could use only one hand to guide the walker. She had to use their restroom and the door is so heavy I had to help her get the walker in and keep the door open. When I volunteered with the CAPHA, we suggested lighter doors on such rooms and sliding door sin other areas. Cal State was a big offender. Rosewood is also an offender.
