Vinings Palisades Apartment Homes

This was by far the most expensive apartment complex I have ever lived in, as well as the one that has given me the most problems. The unit I was living in was nothing like the model uint I was shown before signing the lease; it was on the bottom floor and was dark, dingy, recieved no natural light at all, and smelled strongly of mildew. The place was also crawling with cockroaches; I found myself killing at least one or two roaches every week.



Whats worse, my unit was next door to the laundry room in my building, and over the course of one year, my apartment flooded FOUR times due to pipes bursting in the laundry room. The leaks were bad enough to flood my apartment all the way from the bathroom into the living room and kitchen, ruining a lot of my furniture and damaging the doors and floors in the bathroom. I also found a lot of mold growing in the bathroom on two different occasions, likely due to the flooding, and the when I complained to the leasing staff about the mold they did absolutely nothing about it. Needless to say I did not renew my lease and could not wait to move out of this horrible aprtment complex.



However even after moving out, I am still dealing with problems caused by Vinings Palisades. When I moved out of my apartment, I specifically asked whether or not I needed to call and shut off the power in my apartment and was told at the time that I did not need to do that. A month and a half later, I am recieving a bill from Georgia Power for $60 for utilities at an apartment that I am no longer living in, and the staff at Vinings Palisades is telling me that there must have been a miscommunication but that I am still liable for the bill because I should have called and shut off the power. I cannot believe what I hard time I have had living in Vinivngs Palisades and I do not recommend this place to anyone.
