General Info

The Marcus Institute for Development and Learning is a charitable, nonprofit facility located in Atlanta. It provides a range of services and programs for people with developmental disabilities and their families. The institute offers clinical, behavioral, educational and family support services to reduce the stress and aggravation for families who may have a child with mild to severe disabilities. Founded in 1991 as The Marcus Developmental Resource Center, the Marcus Institute for Development and Learning provides services for children with conditions, such as cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism, learning disabilities and disruptive behavior problems. It is also affiliated with Emory University and Kennedy Krieger Institute. The institute additionally serves as a resource for continuous research and training. The Marcus Institute for Development and Learning s early intervention program serves children aged 18 months to 7 years. Its educational programs focus on language, communication and social skills. The institute s other services include medical and genetic evaluations, behavioral assessments, support group referrals and consultation with local schools and agencies.
