Breast Care Specialists

Have been going here for about 10 years and have witnessed the decline in personal interaction and courtesies. Without the long story, the short one is, and the one that has finally shown me what the practice has sadly become and I want no further treatment here is that I was on hold in a telephone que 20 mins and THEN the recording said the office is just soooo busy "please leave your info and we will call you back to schedule your appt". So I did. After the next day still not receiving a call back I called the office AGAIN and went through all the prompts, sat in the phone que (10 mins) .finally hung up...and called back and pressed for another extension other than appointments. The person who told me "they have 48hours to return a phone call" was curt and uninterested. Well, THEY may have 48hrs with someone else, but their times up with me. And no....haven't yet received that phone call....in about 14hrs it will be 48.

I am so shocked by the negative reviews!! My doctor also referred me to BCS in 2007 for a diagnosis from a mammogram. I have had nothing but the best care at this facility! Yes, the wait time can be long, but my thought is I would rather they spend all the time needed on someone who needs extra care and concern because that could be me at sometime! I have always been treated like family at this office. My surgeon, Dr. Steinhaus, has explained everything in detail and has taken extra time to answer my questions. I have recommended many women to Dr. Steinhaus and they have come away feeling the same as I do about this office and the doctors and staff who work there!

My first visit to a Breast Care Specialist ( June 9th , 2016 ) I was pleasantly surprised after having read some negative comments. Every one, and I do mean everyone, I met was kind, understanding and made you feel like you were their only patient. I did not think the wait was long, I arrived at 8;30 am and left at 11:15am, with forms filled out, interview and a minor procedure. I saw Dr. Jennifer Amenson and was impressed with her caring attitude.



I never complain about a long wait in any Doctors office as I assume they had an emergency or VERY sick person who had to be seen. I have been on the receiving end of emergencies and appreciate any and all Doctors that take the time to see you without a planned visit.



Bring a book, take deep breaths and enjoy the solicitude you may not get at home...
