Terrible. Awfully slack and irresponsible. I worked for them in SF in August of this year. Still no paycheck. This is outrageous and a real low blow to us working poor. I am desperate.
I found the folks at BMT to be really fun and friendly, yet a sense of professionalism was always there too. I always received the proper training for my positions and they were extremely flexible with my schedule as well, which can be kinda rare in the temp world. I was paid on time and with all hours and OT present and accounted for. Sign up with them, have some good working fun and get paid!!
I have worked for BMT as a Brand Ambasador and a Manager. I worked as a manager for &quot;CraverNation&quot;, NYC 2012, and &quot;Dreamforce 2010&quot; in San Fransisco, CA . As a BA for &quot;Americas Mart&quot;, and &quot;Operation Hydration&quot; in Atlanta, GA in 2010. Each of these experiences were great ones. The staff of BMT is extremely dedicated to creating a professional working environment. BMT provides its employees with thorough training for each event and always creates a cohesive working environment. I have worked for other promotional companies, extremely large ones and I can say that none of them have ever provided the kind of training or uplifting and professional atmosphere that BMT provdies. I have always been paid extremely quickly by BMT where as with some of the other promotional companies it has taken months. I recommend BMT to my friends, family, and anyone looking to break into the world of promotional marketing.
BMT has provided so many people with an opportunity not just to work, but to feel good about themselves for putting in a hard days' work. I have worked two very large conventions with them and each time I walked away tired from long hours, but always with a good sense of self and of being united with other people who needed to work. It is so nice to know that there is a company that can interview closes to 400 people, screen them and choose the right people for a position. Whether it is the administrative staff or accounting, they have always been responsive and kind and I thoroughly enjoy working for them when the time is needed. Thank you BMT for giving me a job when I needed it and for doing the same for so many others in dire straits..
BMT was a good company to work for. They were very nice and considerate of individuals' personal issues and any scheduling conflicts that came up. They were able to work around obstacles and provide employment to close to 500 people in these economically difficult times. I felt they went out of the way to make sure that their workers were comfortable and in a position that fit. They provided a great opportunity to a number of unemployed people. I really appreciate this and enjoyed working with them; I would recommend them to anyone. It truly was a valuable experience.
It is refreshing to see the complaints above, as I have had the same experience with this company. I worked for BMT years ago and did not receive my payment until over 3 months after the event I worked. They were apologetic, and stated it was very rare a for a payment to be delayed so long. Thinking it was a one time mistake in the past, I signed up to work an event this past April. Flash forward over 8 weeks later and I have still not been paid. I was told if I was not paid by July 31st to check back in! That's more than a month away! Something is really sketchy about the way this company does business and I am receiving legal advice. As a freelancer for many years, I have never experienced this kind of negligence to pay. It truly is unacceptable. I feel like a total fool for trusting them twice. Not only will I not work for them again, but I hope people will reconsider before they sign up with BMT. Also, companies that hire BMT should be aware of how they treat the people who work for them. In this economy, we have to look out for eachother and I don't want other people to experience the stress of not being compensated!
I too, have not been paid. My event was in Sep. or Oct.(can't even remember now!) and I still keep getting &amp;quot;oh the 18th of this month&amp;quot;(it passes, then the next month) &amp;quot;oh the 18th of this month&amp;quot; and so on. I'm not sure if the other person and myself worked the same event and the company still hasn't gotten paid from that event, but there needs to be some accountability. I don't remember when signing up that it said, &amp;quot;you'll just get paid when we get paid however long that is.&amp;quot; I worked my hours and I worked very hard for them and I want my money! That was going to be my xmas money, well, that didn't happen...luckily, my checks with my day job landed to where I could use some money from that. I understand pay delays, but this is getting ridiculous.
I have a serious issue with BMT. It has been 2 months since I worked the event for them and I still have not been paid. When I signed the paperwork I realized that it could be UP TO 6 weeks to receive payment. I was fine with that. When 6 weeks passes I get an email saying pay will be delayed. BMT does not know how long pay will be delayed. When BMT has more information they will let me know. Now it is Dec. 6th. I still have not been paid. I called BMT agency today and a young lady told me she does not know when I will be paid. She advised me to call again Dec. 19th and see is someone can tell me when I will be paid. This is probably the worst situation I have been in with a talent agency. I have never not gotten paid. I have never had to wait more than 2 weeks to be paid. The event itself was fine. This payment situation ruins all of that though. I am doing all of the research I can to see what I can do outside of dealing with BMT to get my money. If my rating could be negative stars I would do negative 1!
