OMG, So my husband brought me to this restaurant on 10/3/11 for my birthday. The food, the staff was excellent. I had the crab cake then shrimp scampi absolutely delicious. My husband had mozzarella brick, lol

""Critical Foodie"" should be a giveaway but let's start at the front door: Greeting was friendly. Linen tablecovers, napkins and potential for a cozy, intimate meal. Drink order was taken and delivered promptly and correctly. The special of the day confidently identified. Salad and rolls arrived in a timely manner. So far, so good, right? The salad was drenched with oil (could have been olive, could have been veg ... no real flavor, just oily) and red wine vinegar. Very unbalanced measurements resulting in a pool of liquid in the bottom of the dish. The rolls arrived in a white soup bowl, and were equally as white as the bowl, literally sitting in a pool of butter. Did not eat the bread. I can only speak to the flavor and texture of two dishes, Chicken Piccata and Eggplant Parmigiana. Chicken tenders were used in preparation of this dish and were tough and bland. My husband, nor I, could cut the ""tenders"" with a fork. The caper sauce was very good. The Eggplant Parm (my ""go to"" first-time visit dish) was very disappointing. My husband compared the dish to Chicken Fried Steak, due to thickness of the eggplant and amount of breading. There was no way I could have sworn there was eggplant in the dish. I will admit that I cleaned my plate as I was starving and, being guests of a delightful couple, opted not to point out short comings of the meal. It appears from other reviews that anything veal may be a better dish for the chef; that is if you eat red meat.

First off- the drink order was wrong. Then, the waiter spilled my fiancé's drink all over his lap and the waiter had the nerve to talk to one of the employees about spilling the drink all over him, laughing about it and then saying he would not take off 10% for doing so (keep in mind we never asked for a discount off of our bill). Our food came and it was disgusting! We ordered Chicken Gorgonzola with Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was steamed and flavorless and the fettuccine was a clumpy cheesy mess. Not to mention that it was a friday night and we were the only people in the main dinning hall (that is a BAD sign!) We paid $60 for terrible service and food. We are never going there again! I am actually calling the manager tomorrow. I would have called tonight, but by the time we got home they were already closed.

The food is bland and way overpriced. There are many other Italian restaurants in the area with much better food, the same atmosphere, and lower prices.

I had a veal picatta and that was the best,my four years old daughter told our server you are the best server I ever had.

I started going to Aldos a few months ago on a friends reccomendation, I had just returned from 3 weeks in Italy and was complaining about how I couldnt find any good Italian food in ATL. I am sold! Aldo's has AMAZING food, its kinda pricey but the portions are big. Alex was our waiter and he was GREAT!!!! The house Cabernet is very good. My favorites are the Mannicoti and the Veal Francese.

What an excellent place for a romantic dinner! My husband and I have lived in Sandy Springs\r for 5 years and have passed by Aldo's a few time but heard from some friends that it would\r be a great place to celebrate our anniversary. What a perfect suggesiton! We were greeted\r by a very nice gentleman (I think the owner) and instantly felt right at home. The service was great,\r and the food was fabulous! We will be back! Thank you for a very nice anniversary dinner!

This was our first time here and we enjoyed our visit. We were greeted promptly and respectfully. We both had the veal florentine and enjoyed all of it. The salad was plain but excellent. We will be back.

Well, our kids were served their entrees 10 minutes after we received ours. Their order was simple yet still arrived being the incorrect order. We spotted at least two cocroaches on the cushions behind our seats.\r We had been to this restaurant many many times and it was always fine but due to this, we will never come back. They weren't even busy.

My husband and I went for dinner expecting a completely different experience, at the door we were approached by an old waiter who wasnt kind at all, in fact he didnt ever bother in telling us what was the ""special feature of the day"", the salad was a pain and the worst of all is that the whole staff in that place treated us in a ""FUNNY"" way, they even told us if we want a to go bag when we were eating, I will say if you are black or latin there are so many places out there that they will treat you with respect because at the end WE ARE CUSTOMERS and we are paying for those services. Personally, that night we felt so insulted that at this point there are places just like this, places that will make a clear difference based on race. The only good thing about this place is the garlic bread and that's it.
