Quality comes first, and I learnt this the hard way. The cheap key I got made from the hardware store broke off in the lock within a week. That’s when I hired Locksmiths. I’ve heard a lot about them. But did they live up to the hype? I must say, they definitely did! Gary managed to extract the broken pieces from the lock carefully to avoid causing any damage to it. Good job guys! The lock looks as good as new and works seamlessly. Unlike a few other firms I’d made enquiries to, Atherton Locksmiths was the only firm that said they could fix the lock, instead of replacing it. Being new to Atherton, CA, I didnt know if there was any competent locksmith around. Atherton Locksmiths could not have made rekeying my deadbolt easier -- Jerry worked around my work schedule, came out and completed the job on the same day, and their cost ($100 total) was less expensive than other locksmith quotes. I really appreciated the efficiency and ease of completing this job, especially since I had to have it done because my keys had been stolen. I've feel like I've been doling out a lot of 5 star reviews lately, but I guess I've just been lucky (or I screen everything I do online first). I can't resist giving some love to Atherton Locksmiths. I called in the afternoon, and unlike other places where you have to go through several phone calls, call centers, call backs, etc., at Atherton Locksmiths I talked to a person in Atherton, CA right off the bat, she gave me a straightforward price, and scheduled an arrival time that day. John arrived exactly on time (even a bit before I managed to get home from work). He was fast, professional and friendly, which helps when you've managed to lose your keys and you feel pretty stupid. Atherton Locksmiths has 24/7 service, and while I hope I won't need their services again, next time I get myself in a stupid situation, I'll know who to call Atherton Locksmiths is the ONE!

First, I live in the Atherton, CA and expect strange and sometimes bad things to happen. Well my house was broken into (while I was asleep) and my stuff (as well as my Jeep!) were stolen. I called Atherton Locksmiths and Cathy (I think was here name) was VERY helpful and accomodating and was able to juggle other appointments so someone could come out to my house right away. Steve showed up and was wonderful! He promptly fixed the lock and made me 4 keys. He was also very nice and helped me close the basement window that was kicked in. He made a few recommendations regarding my window (how they got into the house) and after I clear with the landlord, I will call Atherton Locksmiths to come out again to do the work. And the price was very, very reasonable! I highly recommend these folks!!

After reading all the 5 star reviews online I figured I would give these guys a call but I was STILL skeptical because the company seemed too good to be true. Well... yelpers had it right all along. Gorge called me the morning after I wrote in on the website late the night before. Since my problem wasn't dire (I just had crappy locks) he arranged to come the next day and he was super professional, super personable and very straightforward. He looked at the locks, listened to the problems I was having, suggested a solution with the prices I already knew from the website and in 20 minutes I had an awesome new lock and doorknob installed by someone I felt cared about doing a good job. Gorge even told my boyfriend what kind of maintenance could be needed in the future to make sure the doorknob continues to work properly. I wish all repairs could be this easy and not sketchy.
