General Info

When Cathy and Krista hatched the idea for their business back in 1999, they were inspired by the growing vibrant neighborhoods of West Asheville and the need for community-oriented walkable businesses. They both share a passion for healthy eating and a commitment to providing a welcoming atmosphere where families and neighbors can relax. Everything served at the West End is made from scratch, and whenever possible we use locally grown produce and organic products. Come for breakfast and stay for lunch!

Husband and I were visiting Asheville and looking for a late breakfast. We did get there at 11am, so maybe it's more for the early crowd. But the bakery case was looking pretty spare, and we got the last two bagels, which were the boringest bagels I've ever had. Dry, no chew to them at all. Should have been dressed up by the ""bagel sandwich"" fixings, but that apparently involved a square shaped egg and a slice of bacon - no cream cheese, no butter. Just dry. Bleh. I can't speak for their coffee, I went for tea. Counter girl was very confused by my having brought my own mug, kept trying to convince me to take a paper one.
