Goodwill Stores

Tonight we had a horrible experience at the 86 S Tunnel Rd Asheville, NC location. I'm regretting I didn't get it on film. My husband and I have shopped at Goodwill for years. Most of the stores we've visited were clean and the items were fairly priced. When we entered that store, we were immediately taken back by the musty odor. Then, while we were shopping, we were struck by the dirtiness of the store and the items for sale were not worthy of asking the prices as labeled. The pricing was haphazard. Some items where one was larger than the other would be priced less than the smaller identical item. The prices did not reflect the other Goodwill stores we've visited at all. The prices weren't even close in comparison. Yet, to support the store, we were still going to purchase 2 items. While my husband was complaining to me about how dirty the store was and how overpriced the items were, a man who was eavesdropping, leaned over to us and said if you don't like the prices, go somewhere else. Yet, he didn't just say it; he yelled it. The shoppers nearby, stopped shopping to watch the scene. We asked him who he was, and he said he was the manager. I said wow, why are you so defensive? He started yelling in my face and was so close and angry, I was afraid he was going to hit me. He was throwing his body toward me in a threatening way. His behavior was so bazaar, that at first I didn't believe he was a manager or even worked for the store. It was so surreal. I've never experienced anything so horrible in my life. My husband was still going to buy 2 items, and I told my husband to put the items back, we were not going to give them a dollar. Then the manager started following us as we were trying to leave yelling to the top of his voice. Everyone stopped shopping to watch the spectacle. It was horrible. Then he followed us to our car screaming, "Merry Christmas"! I asked him if he was on drugs and let him know we were contacting Corporate. He did say his name was Vincent when I asked him, but I'm not sure he told us the truth. We considered filing a report with the police department, but instead, I've contacted Corporate. I hope they will discipline his accordingly.
