        Very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Can't wait to try it again.

        Bad Experience

        I made a reservation here several days in advance. After driving 2 1/2 hours to get here (with two hungry children) to have dinner with out of town family, we were told that we did not have a reservation by the hostess. She then called over the most unfriendly, disrespectful host that I have ever dealt with in my life. He proceeded to tell me that we did not have a reservation, did not apologize, and asked me if I wanted to challenge his computer. (A computer is only as good as the "genius" entering the information into it.) He then told us to leave, and shut the door in our faces. He could have handled the situation in an acceptable manner by apologizing that he was unable to seat us, and possibly suggest another restaurant, or even offer my children a drink of water instead of pushing us out the door. We proceeded to a different restaurant which welcomed us, treated us with respect, and served us a beautiful meal. We will never try to eat at Cucina 24 again.

        Chef & owner Brian Canipelli opened Cucina 24 in 2008 on Wall Street in the center of downtown Asheville, NC. Our kitchen is focused on melding the traditions and philosophies of Italian cookery with ingredients found in the mountains of the American South.
