Aj Disposal

I have used AJ Disposal for over 11 years with never one issue. Since it was bought out by garbology my 2nd trash can was gone after pickup one week the next week they didn’t dump my can only 1 bag was missing from the can. What is going on that you could by a good dependable company and change over night? Left message on VM waiting on return call now!

They ARE reasonably priced...BUT - we have to put our trash out on the night before it's going to be picked up because they pick it up at 3:45 AM. Worse, though, is the fact that they do NOT accept online or debit card payment - you have to write them a check (or get a money order, I suppose). This wouldn't normally be a problem...but here comes another BUT - checks we mail them have a habit of mysteriously disappearing, and when they do show up (or their replacements, in at least 50% of the cases), the company will hold on to it. We've had those checks come through two full weeks after they've told us they received it - and that is usually at least a week after we mailed it!



They are one of only a few companies we deal with that insists on this kind of payment, but they are the ONLY company we have this issue with. When asked, their go-to explanation is, "It's a bank thing." We've checked, and no, it's not. It's either a, "We're too lazy to deposit the check," thing, or a, "Hey, maybe if we hang onto this long enough they'll forget about it and the check will bounce," thing. (The latter is a suspicion based on their policy of requiring a full year of payment in the event that a check is returned.) Regardless of the reason, we are looking for a different trash company, and considering making use of the dump if we can't find one that handles it's business more professionally.

My husband and I have used their service for almost three years. They are reasonable priced. They have always been there to pick up the garbage no matter what the weather. I would recommend them to everyone I know. Great service
