We have a long cherished history dating back to 1927 when Mr. Wood first opened the business which was then known as Wood-Voakes Funeral Home, moving on to Michael Lady and Family, Michael who was the youngest person to obtain a Funeral Directors License at that time. Michael and Family served the community for over 30 years and became a major figure in the Central Coast, Five Cities area, not only as there Funeral Director but also as there town Mayor, with dedication and concern. Now and most present as the torch being turned over to Luke Andreini as the current Director. Luke is know for his compassion and takes great love and joy in helping families through the most difficult time of there life. It has been said that Luke was born to be a Mortician with him calm, soothing manor.

        The Lady Family Mortuary laid my dear mother to rest last may. I live in Georgia and had multiple calls and texts with their office mostly with Margarita and I was made to feel at ease with the conversations concerning overall care for my mother being that she was African American there aren’t a lot or any African American funeral homes in or near Santa Maria CA. So I really was concerned with that but from the very first interaction I had with Margarita and other staff at Lady Family Mortuary my mind was at total peace that I’d selected the right place for my mothers home going. So Thank you very much Lady Family Mortuary for you kindness and professionalism you showed our family in our time of grief. Sincerely,Constance Horton.
