This place has no integrity. They lie through their teeth. Especially the owner Mathew Kerby. Avoid at all cost. I’ve been driving from Austin for a couple of years now because of them. I’ve been having to drive back and forth now because no other place would change my oil. Every time I tried to take itsomewhere closer they would tell me you have to take it to the place you originally had it done. Then I would take it back to them and they would give me the run around. Well come to find out they put the wrong bolt in the oil pan and cracked it. And then have the audicty to try and sell me a $700 new pan when their at fault. The owner calls me today and won’t even let me talk and then starts yelling at me and hangs up the phone! Great customer service thank you well done! Oh yeah and the bald guy with glasses has no idea what he’s talking about.

I have been a customer of Spee...

I have been a customer of Speedee Oil and Lube (that is the proper spelling) for 8 years. The owner, Matthew Kerby, and his manager -- Aaron -- have always treated me well. They have great integrity and if they say something needs fixing, it really needs it. They will also tell you when something can go for a few months until a more financially convenient time. And they will tell you when a car is no longer financially worth repairing any more. They have always kept their word to me. Matthew Kerby has won numerous awards from the Speedee Oil franchise -- this is due to his ability to foster extreme loyalty in his grateful customers. They remember me every time they see me and I always look forward to doing business with them. Only twice have I had a repair they couldn't do because of a lack of equipment. Both times they told me exactly where to go to get the best service.

I read another review saying that Aaron (the manager) lost his temper with a customer. Having known Aaron for 8 years, I can tell you that this could not have happened without some extreme provocation (and I seriously doubt the veracity of that story). Only once have I known Matthew or Aaron to get short with a customer. A man came in and asked for synthetic oil (I heard him). He then refused to pay the additional cost for the oil saying he had not asked for that (which he did). Matthew tried reasoning with him. When the customer became angry and started cussing, Matthew said that he did not tolerate that kind of language in his lobby and asked the customer to leave and not return. I was grateful for an owner of a service business who would rather have a customer never return than to have his existing loyal customers to be offended by abusive language.

In my many years of using Speedee Oil & Lube, I have discovered that there are many other customers that are equally satisifed and who would not want to take their car anywhere else. My son has moved to another city, but makes special weekend trips to my area to have his car worked on at this garage.

I also know that they are sensitive to people's financial situations and help customers with limited funds to make the right choices as to what has to be fixed now and what can wait.

As a pastor, I have not hesitated to send people to Speedee Oil & Lube. Matthew Kerby also has provided a valuable service to numerous young couples to evaluate potential vehicle purchases for them to help them avoid buying a lemon. I appreciate a mechanic who sees the bigger picture of providing quality help to others and who wants to develop long-term customer relationships rather than just getting a single quick oil change fee from you.

Evidently, the person who wrote a negative review had some kind of axe to grind or they misinterpreted what happened. I can only tell you that I've gone to this station for 8 years and have trusted them with the care of 7 different vehicles during that time. I have always been treated fairly and professionally. They guarantee their repairs and have always lived up to that guarantee. I highly recommend this vendor. Tell them Robert sent you.

DO NOT COME HERE!!

I was a customer on Saturday(June 23) there was a customer who wasn't happy with his service the girl at the desk went and got the manager for him and before the customer could say anything the manager(Aaron) started cussing him out and threating to fight him. Telling the customer he will call the cops if he doesn't leave and all the customer was doing was trying to pay for his oil change. The manger finally left, the customer paid and when the customer walked out the manager was waiting at his car to continue the fight. When the man was finally allowed to get in his car and go the manager walked down to the street so he could double flip the customer off on his way past. It was shocking to see that kind of behavior from an adult in a business setting in front of all customers. Unprofessional and shocking he hasn't cost the owner his business yet. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

The team at Speedy has literally saved me thousands of dollars in avoided costs over the past several years. Many times, I have assumed the worst possible case scenario and they find a minor glitch that was causing it and fix it for minimal cost. It seems like there is almost nothing they can't do for you and they have master mechanics on site as well as the usual maintenance kinds of things. It's a family business and having the owners around makes ALL the difference. My first visit was after closing hours when the creeps down the street turned me away at 20 minutes prior to closing. I called Speedy and he said they were closing but that he was holding the door open for me. I have been a loyal customer for well over five years since.
