        The Michigan Headache & Neurological Institute (MHNI), the nation's first comprehensive head pain treatment and research center, was founded by Dr. Joel Saper in 1978 to provide intensive, balanced treatment of headache and related painful disorders. The Institute is the only specialty center for head pain to have been awarded national accreditation. MHNI is accredited by the Joint Commission. This award recognizes staff and program excellence and applies national standards of care and operational procedures to a program devoted to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pain disorders. MHNI utilizes a multidisciplinary team of specially trained physicians, physician assistants, Ph.D. psychologists, registered nurses, physical therapists, technicians, and administrative and clerical staff. The system of care and intensity of services provided by MHNI reflect: The requirements necessary to address complex, difficult-to-treat or diagnose pain conditions The extraordinary time commitment required to evaluate, educate, and treat persons who suffer from chronic pain disorders The experience-proven standard to provide a multidisciplinary, specialized professional staff to achieve optimum and cost-effective outcome results

        Overall

        Dr. Weintraub has changed my life. Not only has he found medicine to help control my headaches, but he is compassionate and really listens to me. He helps me when I am fighting with my insurance company over the methedrine. I hate the drive up to the clinic but always look forward to seeing him.

        I have been very pleased with Dr. Weintraub and the MHNI facility. I feel that they care about me as an individual and that I do have a head problem and they want to help me get better. I feel that Dr. Weintraub is very knowledgable and I trust my well being with him.

        Dr Wientraub was 45 minutes late for my first appointment.
        He didn't spend more than 10 minutes with me and refused to answer questions because he had no time. A waste of 350 dollars. Now months later after following his advice i cant sleep have sleep depravation and am in horrible shape. So they want me to go somewhere else. pitiful. Don't go here. Terrible service. Only in it for the money.

        I am doing so well!! He is an excellent doctor. I would recommend him to anyone! I hardly have any headaches any more. He gave me back my life, I am so grateful to have him as my physician.

        i speak very highly of him. he looked at my meds and right away pointed to one that i had been on forever and said this was makes you tired and fainting. that was a plus its self.

        i am a very difficult patient because of my life style and the doctor really works well with me to determine the best approach to my cluster headaces. i have worked with my doctor for over 11 years, i have been able to beat this on each case of the cluster.
