One of my favorite restaurants! I highly recommend them, very good food, great atmosphere, and I suggest trying the steak (probably the best piece of meat I've ever joke!).

  • Very Good Overall

this little hole in the wall didn't look like much as we pulled up but as soon as we walked through the door we were in awe of the decor which was nothing short of breath taking the service was exceptional and the food was to die for we will be sure to visit again

  • What an exquisite experience!!!

As a ""first-timer"" to Villa Nova I was unaware of the fantastic experience that was about to unfold before me. From the smiling welcome of the hostess, the fireplace, fountains, beautiful artwork, live classical guitar, to both the engaging, and perceptive service we received (also from Lynn, who I recommend requesting, her knowledgeable, friendly service is without par) \r THE FOOD!!! How could I have been unaware of this place? I'd heard of it but dismissed it because of its location. (Which I now applaud, no ""parking"" issues equate to a pleasant beginning to a fabulous evening.) The Halibut Monaco was the best fish Ive eaten throughout a lifetime of world wide gastronimical samplings. Stuffed with dungeness crab, and the wine lemon sauce, delightful! The calamari was the most tender, perfectly prepared cuts available w/out a doubt. No ""calamari rings"" here rest assured. \r And desserts, be forewarned, SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT or GET ONE ""TO GO"" We did both! The recitation of the dessert menu is a show unto itself and all the servers must have an impeccable memory. Chef Giorgio (a 5 star Chef, trained in France, no less) also emerged from the kitchen and introduced himself and inquired as to our experience. His caring is very evident in all aspects of his business. From the smiles of the staff, to the peals of laughter heard round the rooms, I have to say this was one of the most memorable, enjoyable meals Ive ever eaten and I will become a member of the ""family"", as they've made me feel like one already. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant, both romantic enough for a proposal (there was one there that evening) to casual enough to relax and unwind in, I can't say enough about the artistry that is embodied at Villa Nova.\r Also noticed that the ""Who's Who"" of Alaska, are in regular and abundant attendance. Excellent location for relaxed networking and developing relationships would be my guess.

Unbeliveable food, friendly casual fine dining, Lynn, our server was great. romantic ambience, Shawn Lyons plays on Fri. and Sat. nights. you'd never expect what lies inside from the location. Chef Georgio is a dear and came out to meet us, he makes everyone feel like family. Highly reccommend.
