The Pediatric Center at the Children’s Hospital at Providence is a special area that provides inpatient medical treatment for children of all ages. Using a family-centered care model, we strive to deliver the very best inpatient care in a family-friendly environment.
Our team treats children who are admitted to the hospital after an emergency room visit, after a planned surgery, through medical evaluation or directly from a doctor’s office. A pediatric hospitalist manages your child’s treatment while here. The hospitalist (a doctor who cares for hospitalized patients) communicates and works with your child’s surgeon or specialty pediatrician to ensure comprehensive, efficient treatment.
In addition to these services, the Pediatric Center at the Children’s Hospital at Providence is the only facility in Alaska that treats pediatric oncology patients. We are also a Level II pediatric trauma center.
