We will NEVER return to this store again. This was my third time in there and each time there, the owners were very rude to not only us, but other customers in the store waiting to be helped.
This last time, both the owners were informed that we did not appreciate being treated so rudely just because we came in an hour before closing. They rudely informed us of the fact and bluntly asked us if we intended to buy anything or just browse!! Then they rudely told us they do not want anyone using a credit card unless they intend on spending more than $15 dollars. I was stunned and disgusted by all of this within 10 minutes of entering this establishment.
I was trying to purchase a silver dollar coin to which after I asked why we were being treated so terribly, the owner refused to complete my transaction after wasting our time lecturing to us all of the above out of the blue for no reason. She smiled nastily refusing my purchase after agreeing to make an exception earlier, when I told her I did not have cash on hand.
I informed her that I recognized her from the last two times in years prior I had come to this store. That she had also been rude back then and to other customers. An elderly couple had left after being snapped at for asking assistance in having a display case opened.
There are also other reviews about these owners and their establishment describing similar treatment and attitudes like we experienced. It was shocking to say the least, and I only had returned after a long time because my friend had never been to an antique store.
It is apparent both these women dislike working with the public and their people skills are horrific. As well, the younger but older looking woman behind the counter who was the worst out of the two, was eating a messy pizza with her mouth full while informing us all of her stringent rules and such. Also, she had a white pit bull behind the counter who jumped up towards me onto the counter which was unseen on the floor behind the counter. A very scary and unprofessional situation overall.
We left quickly after the other much older owner began to rant at us for asking who managed the store. We were boldly informed that they both owned it which was just unbelievable.
After we left, I called to get their names to report them to the Better Business Bureau and make a report about the dog being allowed to jump up at us behind the counter. They hung up on me. I was not surprised by them.
no longer one day in business giving the community negative interactions and experiences for no reason other than to get off from it.
Please read other reviews that confirm other people have had mistreatment by this establishment as well. Its a shame because the store itself was really neat.
