        The best hotel EVER!!!

        I stayed at the ingra house a few times over the years, some have been good others not so good, but this last time I stayed there for about two months and it was great, The building seemed cleaner, not a bunch of drunks lying around like most of the downtown hotel's, and the people who were working there were great people, Brian and Tom showed me and my girlfriend around town, they could'nt have been any nicer, you never see that in a hotel where the employee's actually take time from their lives to show tourists around town, i can't wait to get back there this winter.

        Extremely Affordable and Clean and Modern!

        When I moved up to Anchorage, I needed a place to stay for a few weeks until I found an apartment. The Ingra House was the answer! Thier weekly rates were pretty much the lowest in town. The building seemed brand new and my room was extremely clean. The rooms were small, but I didn't mind as long as it was quiet and private.



        They call thier building a 'rooming house', but I would consider it more like European lodging. The bathrooms are shared via the hallway, but are private to use behind you (lock the door, etc). They had kitchen facilities that I didn't personally use, but were stocked with pots and pans for other guests to use.



        I wish there were more of these types of lodgings around the country. If you intend to stay for a week or longer, this is a good place to look up.
