Aleaka's Day Spa

By far the worst experience I've had at a nail salon! I booked a nail appointment for 1:00 pm on a Saturday, and when I got there the owner Aleaka was not there to do my nails. One of the employees called her and gave me an excuse that she was having some problems with her kids at home and wouldn't make it in. I couldn't wait because I had to work at 3 so she asked me to come in at 8:30 pm when i got off. I got there and she was waiting for me, however a few minutes later when I was getting my acrylics soaked off to put on a new set one of her regular clients came in and she moved me to a different table and pretty much forgot about me for a good 30 mins. As I was sitting there with my hands in a bowl of hot acetone I was looking around and starting noticing how dirty the place was. There was acrylic dust all over the chairs and tables. The tools were just sitting out and clearly hadn't been cleaned or disinfected. I could go on and on about how crappy this place was layed out but I want to keep this as short as possible. So about an hour in of me sitting here with my nails melting off, I wanted to get out of there. I sat there while listening to Aleaka talk crap about on of her friends who had been hanging out there when I arrived and had left about an hour later. Telling basically everyone in the shop that she was homeless. SO unprofessional. Her kids were in the back office and she got up a couple times to yell at them. She was dressed sloppy and had acrylic dust all over her shirt and chest. The client who walked in after me and basically took my place asked her 3 year old daughter that she brought with her to be given a haircut and after she had to wait for the hairdresser to get out of the tanning bed the kid got one of the ugliest and sloppiest haircuts I've seen come out of a "salon". The mom asked for side bangs and the hairdresser couldn't even do it and blamed the little kid for moving. By this time my nails were nearly off so I made up an excuse that I had somewhere to be (By this time it was 10:00pm) I had her take my nails off and just put a clear coat on so I could get out of there and go get my nails done elsewhere the next morning. Overall just a horrible experience. I would never recommend it or go back. And one more little detail, one of the first things Aleaka said to me as I sat down at her table was " Uhhh where do you get your eyelashes done? I can do them much better! You can see the glue! What kind of glue do they use??" Well, Aleaka, I do them myself and they look just fine. But thanks for telling me they look bad so you could scam me out of $40. Please don't waste your time and money on this joke of a business!! That place needs to be shut down.

Don't go!!! They do not know how to apply eyelash extensions! It started with the gal glueing the cheap flair lash to my eyelids. She shoved the extension into my eye and it glued the corner of my lids together and pushed several lashes inside my eye. As soon as I opened them it started to tear and shred my eye. The station was filthy, they left the door open and several people kept walking in talking to the gal. It took 1 hour to remove them (I was terrified I would get an infection) and now I do not have any lashes left! The owner said she was sorry and would call me back to give me a refund...never heard from her again. Avoid this place if you appreciate your eyes and want to keep your lashes!

i was so excited to go there i had a big day the next day so i did a full spa, eyelashes, manipedi, tanning and my hair. it all turned out wonderful. the beds were clean the staff was friendly and my hair looked AMAZZZZZING!!!!!!! i would recommend this to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE this place!! I'm able to go in and get everything done at one place at one time. The girls that work there are really friendly & aren't rude when you ask them to fix or change something. If u wanna laugh & have some good conversation this is the place to be!

I wouldn't go back here.

I made an appointment well in advance and they overbooked my slot with two other people and were under staffed.

They had a hair dresser doing my and my friend's nails at the same time back and forth (which was not very relaxing) and took us to some crazy room upstairs to do our pedicures.

My nail polish literally chipped off the next day.

The owners nails are so long she can hardly do anything with her hands, so she holds your hands all awkwardly in order to do your nails.



Wouldn't recommend.
