The Original Pancake House

The 49er flapjacks are the best, not to impressed with the omelets as they are a bit puffy and just all cooked together. But they have good coffee, fast and friendly service.

The 49er flapjack is my favorite pancake by far, it is thin and a little gooey, but crispy on the edges. so good! Now if they just added hash browns it would be perfect.

On vacation from Michigan we wanted to check out a few of California's restaurants. We saw the Original Pancake

House reviewed on a television show and decided to give it a try.

It's like walking into the '60s with the dark paneling and the orange vinyl seating. The waittresses invite you in with a

smile and make you believe they are glad to see you.

The pancakes and the meats are very good. Side dish extras are a little on the pricey side. Service was excellent and

the meals were served quickly and hot. I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup, someone was refilling it before it was

half gone.

We liked it enough to return rather than trying another eatery.
