We understand that your time is valuable and we strive make your visits with us as comfortable as possible. In fact, you might feel downright pampered. At Winning Smiles Family Dentistry, we have adopted the latest technical advances in the science of dentistry. These include: Digital Radiographs, Digital intra-oral cameras, Digital impressions systems, and ergonomically designed dental massage chairs. All of our equipment is certified by the Eco Dentistry Association (EDA) to be environmentally friendly and we are proud to be a one of ONLY 4 GreenDoc certified providers in the state of Texas! Digital Impression systems: Through the use of digital laser scanners, our dentists can make a virtual model of your mouth and teeth. Most of our patients find the digital impression system to be far more comfortable than traditional impressions. Most importantly, with digital impressions you won't experience any of the mess or foul taste that can be associated with traditional impression. Digital intra-oral Cameras (IOC): Digital intraoral cameras allow us to communicate more effectively what we find inside of your mouth. By taking digital pictures and videos, we can show you directly what we are seeing. This allows us to insure that you are truly informed and active in your oral healthcare. Digital radiographs: Digital radiography may represent the greatest technological advance in medical imaging over the last decade. Modern digital radiographs offer several advantages over conventional films. Digital radiographs allow our doctors to show you on a monitor what they are seeing, helping you to make better, more informed decisions about your oral health. Another benefit of digital images is that they can be seen immediately, which reduces your waiting time considerably. Digital radiology is better for the environment, because there are no hazardous chemicals used in processing the films. Last, and perhaps most important, digital radiographs are safer for our patients and staff than traditional images, because they produce 85-90% less radiation! Ergonomically correct Dental Massage Chairs: A visit to the dentist's office typically involves spending a great deal of time sitting in a dental chair. Before the advent of ergonomics, patients often found this to be an uncomfortable experience, especially if they have existing back problems. Ergonomically designed dental chairs reduce the stresses placed on the back and increase patient's comfort.
