I went to this school years ago, when my dad was stationed at Altus. It is the worst school I have ever attended. The teachers were locals who made fun of us for our parents being in the military. They made us march like soldiers and say we should get used to it. They would laugh about it and call us brats. My 4th grade teacher was so ignorant she would say onced twiced and thriced. I mistakenly raised my hand and asked her why she didn't say first, second and third and she spent the rest of the year making my life a living hell. I made very good grades and never hit anyone or caused problems. She just didn't like me because I asked her that stupid question. If you can't speak properly you should not be paid to teach children. All the kids hated her guts and everyone dreaded having her for a teacher. Her name was Mrs. Motheral. Military kids have a bad enough time moving every few years and worrying about their parents coming home to them. Why should they have to have sadistic morons for teachers.

THE ONLY REASON I PUT 1 LOUSY STAR NOW IS BECAUSE EVEN THIS SYSTEM IS CORRUPT, YOU HAVE TO RATE IT JUST TO POST YOUR COMMENT GOOD OR BAD!!!! I would tell them that this school is very uptight, closed to outsiders & if it is listed as a "Public School". Than tell me why the only kids that attend are the Altus Air Force children that live on the actual Base. This is exactly why I am writing this review. I would like the Board of Education to do something about this matter. If not, I will! So, to all the Parents out there that are new to the area do not be surprised at what your child get's out of his/her education. With or without this school. I am a very upset Parent. We are suppose to have "The No Child Left Behind" system in America!!! I give this so called "Public School" NO STARS! If you want a great education for all your children, send your kids to Will Rogers Elementary. As I say it as W.R.E. It is the ultimate 5 star school in Altus, OK.
