Dental Sealants
A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, premolars and any deep grooves (called pits and fissures) of teeth. More than 75% of dental decay begins in these deep grooves. Teeth with these conditions are hard to clean and are very susceptible to decay. A sealant protects the tooth by sealing deep grooves, creating a smooth, easy to clean surface.

Infection control to protect our patients and our team is extremely important to us. We are proud of the measures we have taken to meet the highest standards of sterilization and infection control recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). We routinely moniitor our autoclave (instrument steriilizer) for effectiveness with spore tests and routinely monitor our dental unit waterlines for bacterial growth. We have an amalgam separator installed in our suction system to prevent mercury from removed amalgam fillings from entering our sewer system. Our team members are certified in CPR and we also have an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in our office.
