Hands On Design Cakes

Owner is VERY unprofessional. I used her several times a year for a couple of years, and she never remembered me. Finally, I was in the middle of discussing a cake design with her and briefly put her on hold to quiet down the kids (the ONLY reason we order cakes from her to begin with), and I heard her bad mouthing me and my kids. After hearing her, I told her that I no longer wanted to order a cake from her because of what she said. Instead of being apologetic she accused me of wanting to cancel the order because I couldn't afford her cakes. Please keep in mind that I had ordered several from her up to this point...each totaling over $130 EACH. In her email she accused me of having a "break down." If you could read her page long rant, you would easily see who had the break down.

As a side note...the cake designs she suggested were unbelievably simple. Since this all happened a few days before my daughter's birthday, I simply went to Target, ordered a basic cake, then, decorated it myself. It was much more elaborate than anything she came up with, for a fraction of the cost.

I don't think Michelle realizes how many other GREAT cake designers are out there. Her words to me were, "Good Luck with your cake. Finding a good cake maker is as difficult as finding a good doctor."

The owner was very easy to work with, very accomodating and the cake was fabulous. It went beyond our expectations and was a very good deal for what we got. We would definately go back for another cake!
