- Robyn Brickel, M.A., LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20+ years of experience providing psychotherapy, as well as the founder and clinical director of a private practice, Brickel and Associates, LLC in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia. She and her team bring a strengths-based, trauma-informed, systems approach to the treatment of individuals (adolescents and adults), couples and families. They specialize in trauma (including attachment trauma) and the use of dissociative mechanisms; such as: self-harm, eating disorders and addictions. They also approach the treatment of perinatal mental health from a trauma-informed lens. She has been an excellent resource for my patients with depression, marital issues and intimacy issues. Robyn has been readily available for consultation, seeing my patients in a timely fashion. She has seen many of them as on-going clients. She sees several in group therapy setting. My patients who see her have been very happy with their therapeutic outcomes and ongoing relationship with her. I can recommend Robyn highly as a therapist.
