        About Hiway House Motel Hiway House Motel in New Mexico Albuquerque offers clean and affordable rooms in the middle of the Nob Hill area. The motel is also a few minutes from the airport, Albuquerque Interstate 40, Kirkland AFB, the Zoo, Old Town, Nob Hill and Tramway. Best of all, Hiway house motel is a walking distance to many great restaurants, the University of New Mexico, the University Hospital. Hiway House was a motor hotel chain founded in 1956 at Phoenix, Arizona by the late Del Webb, a construction magnate who owned the New York Yankees baseball team and later created the Sun City retirement communities. Our Motel is a remnant of the old Hiway House chain still in operation at Albuquerque, New Mexico Albuquerque's hot, cool, fun and funky place for shopping and dining, art and entertainment, Southwestern history and roadside architecture.

        Overall

        This is the only motel I stay at in Albuquerque. The owners are amazing. If we run into the house keeper while we are outside, he asks if we have everything we need. There's a Walgreens within walking distance, and plenty of awesome food choices. The beds are so comfy. Every room I've stayed in has been clean and meets all of my needs. I love this place. :) It offers a real route 66 experience!

        Overall

        Staff is always friendly, and the location is ideal for Albuquerque, every shop that you need is close by. The Highway House makes food for everyone for the holidays. I like that the motel is family owned. The rooms are clean and is the only place I stay when I'm in Albuquerque.

        Overall

        Nice people, great location, wake up call did not work. Back window was broke. Air conditioning did not work for the first week that I stayed there out of a two week stay. Office had very limited hours. Rug was dirty. Linens were clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable. Price was high because of location. No breakfast. No Bugs.
