Golden Lion is not a good place to train. The head instructor doesn't pay attention to all of his students. The students who progress and get the attention are the students that he likes. Each student brings something different into the school but Sifu doesn't recognize the effort and hard work all of his students are putting into training. I have seen so many students give up and quit because they don't feel recognized. Student's shouldn't be babied but all should be seen for the good that they bring into class and training. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. There are much better schools out there.

I did tai chi at golden lion for about a year. The instructor of the class didn't give good instruction and often left individual students and even whole groups alone to do one drill the entire class. She often talked with her favorite student during class about god knows what and the sifu there let her do it. sifu and the instructor would talk at length in the back and ignore the class. Golden Lion is one school in the Plum Blossom system, so go somewhere else. This is not a school that you will get any sort of personalized instruction and you will not progress.
